I have been plyaing the paragon for a while now but i havn't had a chance to fully grasp how this class is supposed t be played. i ahve gotten through a small portion of the game so far with my P/W but i don't seem to be as effective as i would like. any tips would be appreciated.

there are a few ways to play the paragon...

~~~~~~~~~~~1. damage support... skills such as:
[card]stunning strike[/card] [card]"find their weakness!"[/card] [card]"go for the eyes!"[/card] among others...will make life easier for the martial weapon users in your group...

PVE

In tombs of primeval kings...excellent damage support for BP groups... you can play the role of puller as well because of armour.
[card]barrage[/card][card]anthem of envy[/card][card]"find their weakness!"[/card][card]"go for the eyes!"[/card][card]"fall back!"[/card][card]charm animal[/card][card]comfort animal[/card][card]sunspear rebirth signet[/card]

In PVP I have been pleased with a solid spear build based on skills such as:
[card]focused anger[/card] [card]anthem of envy[/card] [card]"go for the eyes!"[/card]

~~~~~~~~~2. damage reduction... there are plenty of damage reducing skills in the paras line.... some good combos with secondaries:

[card]stoneflesh aura[/card] [card]angelic bond[/card]
[card]"watch yourself!"[/card] [card]"stand your ground!"[/card]
[card]"incoming!"[/card] [card]vocal was sogolon[/card]
[card]searing flames[/card] [card]"they're on fire!"[/card]

~~~~~~~~~3. spear damage

the trend in high end pvp is to have an entire team of spear chuckers...I personally like to use the spear as a pressure build...this is what I am using in both pve/pvp... with minor adjustments of course:

[card]heket's rampage[/card] [card]poisonous bite[/card] [card]barbed spear[/card] [card]blazing spear[/card] [card]disrupting throw[/card] [card]heal as one[/card] [card]charm animal[/card] [card]resurrection signet[/card]
( I have since adjusted this build and will post the latest ne later)

[card]stunning strike[/card] and [card]cruel spear[/card] are some good elites to use

~~~~~~~~~~~~~4. Utility... paras have excellent utility....(situational specific builds)

[card]cautery signet[/card] [card]awe[/card] [card]aria of zeal[/card] among many

I was using a build in AB vs. SF nuker that did pretty well:

thanks for the input
